Antonio GayosoDr

Dr. Gayoso is a native Floridian, born in Gainesville to parents newly arrived from Cuba. He completed his undergraduate education at Duke University and the University of Florida. He received his medical degree at the University of Miami and completed his surgical training over 7 years at the Medical University of South Carolina, both in general surgery and plastic surgery.

Dr. Gayoso started plastic surgery practice in Saint Petersburg, Florida in 1998, at first in a group practice, then solo in 2008. He has a very broad experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, but his focus is cosmetic surgery, including all breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring. He uses planning, good judgment, experience, advanced techniques, and artistic vision in order to provide the subtle, or dramatic, changes that patients desire. He believes that listening to his patients desires, and effective communication and great patient education are the keys to his patients happiness.

Dr Gayoso has two sons in college, and is an almost empty nester. In the free time that surgery has allowed him, he has done triathlons, windsurfing, and cycling. Mostly now however, he enjoys film, all kinds of music, concerts, exercising at Crossfit 9, 1000 piece puzzles, and eating a little too much.
