Dr. J. Dayne Petersen is a board certified plastic surgeon in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dr. Petersen earned his medical degree at the University Of Iowa College of Medicine. He then completed a plastic surgery residency through Summa Health System/Northeast Ohio Universities. He pursued additional, specialized training, completing a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Petersen then achieved board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a distinction that begins with completion of and graduation from an approved training program in plastic surgery. Next, successful completion of a rigorous written examination to test his breadth of knowledge of the field of plastic surgery was required. And finally, Dr. Petersen sat for oral examinations wherein he was evaluated on his ability to make safe, patient centered medical decisions and achieve excellent results through careful scrutiny of his surgical outcomes.
