Dr. Lewis was born and raised in Dallas. He attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas, as a National Merit Scholar, and graduated with departmental honors in Biology. He returned to Dallas and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He also completed General Surgery residency training at Southwestern, one of the most competitive and rigorous surgical training programs in the nation, and earned board certification in General Surgery. He then completed a full Plastic Surgery residency training program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Lewis began his practice in Plastic Surgery in San Angelo in the early 1990s. He is a board certified Plastic Surgeon and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and has full operating privileges at all San Angelo hospitals and ambulatory surgery facilities. The goal of his practice is to deliver expert advice and excellent outcomes to his patients, and provide this with close personal attention in a “home town” setting.
