Being in San Diego, we have the luxury of finding affordable care in Tijuana as well. With that, I did extensive research between multiple plastic surgeon clinics for a keloid scar. What initially got me to give Dr. Handler's practice a shot was their front desk office. They are extremely patient and helpful in answering questions in regards to their methods, up-front costs, and working with insurance. As far as I know, this was the only practice I found that allowed me to get a consultation, and then the costs of the consultation would go towards the actual procedure as well. For my first visit, Dr. Handler was extremely kind and personable. He was patient in answering my questions, setting expectations, and did not rush me out the door. We ultimately went with the kenalog injections with radiation and my scarring has gone down dramatically. In a subsequent follow-up visit, all of the above remained true. Thank you.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Dr Handler. I initially came to him for an upper blepharoplasty, and the results exceeded my expectations. The care and expertise he and his staff provided throughout the process made me feel so comfortable and well-informed. I was so impressed that I returned for another major procedure and again, the results were phenomenal. The team's attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being showed at every step, and I couldn't be happier with my new look. I've also gone to him for injectables and Botox, and each experience has been just as incredible. Dr. Handler is an outstanding plastic surgeon with an excellent background of training, skills, experience, and certification built upon a strong foundation of morality and true caring for patients' welfare and best interests that is not widely available. He saw me the same day I called and surgically removed a lesion from my face that had been growing for some time. BTW, NO PAIN AT ALL. Several days later I cannot even see where the lesion was, it is effectively erased without any scar or sign that it existed. Many thanks Dr. Handler!

Personable and humorous doctor. His staff are respectful and kind as well. I was personally satisfied by the results of him closing up my piercing holes, and am returning in the future for a few more procedures. After recently having a bad experience with an unrelated dermatologist and his staff, it was a nice change to be treated by Dr. Handler at his office.

Excellent Doctor. Very patient with questions, polite, thoughtful. He has been my doctor for about 8 years. During that time, he has treated me for fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, broken capillaries, irregularly shaped moles, eyelash enhancement, lip enhancement, a severe burn, and a scar on my face. He is well versed in dermatology, liposuction, and laser hair removal, as well as plastic surgery. Dr. Barry also works as an emergency room on-call surgeon during his off hours. Set aside some extra time for your appointment as he is very thorough and will discuss all aspects of your treatment and what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Barry and his staff. The office is serene and the appointment is always a pleasure.
