This is an updated follow up review for La Jolla Facial Plastic Surgery: One year after undergoing surgery with Dr. Victor Chung, the "problem area" on my face where the surgery was performed, miraculously changed - as it was replaced with smooth, youthful, glowing skin! Prior to this surgery, I went to a different medical spa where I had an adverse reaction to their treatment and my skin was left with uneven scars. I was terrified that my face was forever ruined. Working as a model, I thought my modeling days were over. I was devastated! Enter Dr. Victor Chung and his staff, and they accepted the challenge to help me with my face/skin problems. Right around the one year mark since my surgery, my face and skin started looking amazing! Yes, some procedures take time to see full results but it was so worth the wait. Not all plastic surgeons are equal. Dr. Chung focuses on natural results and on the needs of his patients, and works with you individually for optimum results. He told me I needed to be patient and gave me specific instructions on how to care for my face post surgery. I followed everything he said. I'm so glad I did! Dr. Chung is an extremely talented, gifted, meticulous, and ethical Plastic Surgeon. He knows what he's talking about. Trust his judgment, listen to everything he tells you, follow all his instructions. I promise you, it will be the best decision you ever make for your face. I normally would not write a review for a plastic surgeon, but when you find a Doctor this caring, ethical, talented, and so good at what he does - you can't just keep it to yourself. So that's why I'm here to share my experience with my Yelp family about Dr. Chung at La Jolla Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Chung successfully and with expertise CORRECTED and reversed a bad result I had from a different medical spa. The procedure had to do with my skin. I feel like he 'saved' my face and my mental health with it. I will be forever grateful! First of all, Dr. Chung is a board certified plastic surgeon who ONLY works on your face. He specializes in just the face. Most plastic surgeons are all over the place - but Dr. Chung is extremely ETHICAL and CONSERVATIVE in his approach to plastic surgery. He is a realist he will tell you what he can do and cannot do. And this is what you want when deciding on a Doctor who is going to operate on your one and only face - someone who is upfront and honest with you. In fact, he tried to talk me out of procedures! Truly, you can't find a Doctor like this nowadays. He is driven by doing what's right and beneficial for his patients - not so much about his pocketbook. Which is exactly why he's such a good Doctor! Also Jewels is Dr. Chung's office manager and she is empathetic and efficient. She'll help navigate you through the surgery process with top notch service. From my very first consultation to my most recent three month follow-up Dr. Chung has been amazing. He is honest, straightforward, sincere, extremely talented and truly puts his patients’ best interests first. I’m so glad I took the time to research multiple doctors and I’m so grateful that it led me to Dr. Chung. He is truly the best. Update to Mohs reconstruction. 99% healed and couldn't be more pleased with the results. Dr. Chung is a MASTER!

Dr. Chung is so knowledgeable and very thorough about any procedure that he does in his practice. He is conservative with his procedures which is important because I feel that he would not perform any procedures that he is not comfortable about doing. I would recommend Dr. Chung to anyone that is looking for a top top surgeon.

I've been to Dr. Chung's office 4 or 5 times. He did reconstructive surgery on my nose after my dermatologist did a Mohs procedure to remove a skin cancer....

I required a Moh's surgery on my nose and Dr. Chung was referred to me by Bernardo Dermatology. I was quite nervous about the procedure but after consulting with Dr. Chung I felt confident that he was the right Dr. for me. My Moh's surgery repair required 24 stitches and my nose looked quite gnarly. Fast forward two months and the results are amazing. There is no sign that those stitches were ever there! I highly recommend Dr. Chung for any facial procedures one may require.

I am recommending everyone I know to come see Dr. Chung and Jewels. I have had the most wonderful experience working with this team. They address your concerns, care for each patient like family and make sure you receive the best care as possible.
