Surgeon disregarded everything I told him about how I wanted my procedure and did what he wanted, leaving me overfilled, lopsided, and botched. I trusted him and gave him my entire savings just to become depressed and regretful forever!

Shout out to Dr. Kaplan and the entire staff. He is the best to ever do it. I flew in to get some work done and my experience was absolutely amazing. I love my results. Everyone was super kind and helpful. I’ve officially found my doc for life. - t. s.

I felt very judged by this plastic surgeon. I wanted a second opinion on a procedure I am having done at Sono Bello. A revision. He made a comment ‘well they’re probably sick of you calling all the time’ because it’s been two years since the surgery and I’m only now having a revision. I think that’s why he didn’t want to help me. He assumes I’m a complainer when I rarely complain about anything. Sono Bello offers a free revision within a year of surgery. I didn’t contact them until almost a year had passed to see if the lumpiness went away. I was timid to even call and ask about the revision because I’m a shy person. When I did they said it would be awhile before I could get an appointment for a revision. I said that was fine. I then called maybe twice more in the following six months to check on where I was on the list - because they asked me to. So this doctor charged me $200 to tell me he can’t help me. I had Sono Bello after having three children. Other than that, I’ve had no plastic surgery. I wanted to ask him about other things, like lines under my eyes, but felt too embarrassed by the way he acted towards me. He had no bedside manner. There is a doctor (plastic surgeon) in the same building, a Dr. Javaheri. I’ve gone to his clinic for laser skin treatments. He’s very nice and kind. I would suggest going to him.

I had been considering a lower eye lid blepharoplasty for over two years but I was too scared to take action. The thought of having my eyes under a knife scared me to death, and I wanted to make sure I pick the right surgeon for it. I researched many surgeons and had a few consultations with some good names here in the city. But I wasn’t feeling confident to move forward till I met Dr. Kaplan. He instantly made me feel comfortable and confident. I initially went to get my Botox done and as we chatted, he was too kind to answer all my questions in full detail. I was able to tell that he really knows what he is talking about. So I decided to go ahead and it was the best decision I ever made! The guy is a genius! On the day of the surgery, he also recommended to take some fat from my abdomen to inject it in my upper cheeks and fill the ligament after removing the fat from under my eyes. He offered that at no extra cost and assured me that it won’t look strange like those exaggerated fillers that totally change your look. He said it will only improve my look but will still look natural. And he was so right! It’s been 3 months since the surgery and I’m very happy with the results. I got rid of these annoying bags under my eyes and I feel fresh and beautiful. My recovery took a bit longer than many other people who had the same surgery but that’s just my skin type. I was expecting to stay bruised and puffy for a while so that wasn’t worrisome to me. It’s good that I did it during lockdown. Dr Kaplan was very kind and attentive all through my recovery, responding to my texts even on a weekend to assure me that these puffs will go away, and they did. I highly recommend dr Kaplan for both, blepharoplasty and Botox. I also like that he only recommends the things you really need and would never sell you something that you don’t need. I asked a few questions about other surgical options for my neck and my face and he advised me against these procedures because he didn’t believe I needed them yet. I very much trust and respect dr Kaplan and admire his work ethic and integrity. I would trust him with anything moving forward.

Two years ago, I came across Dr. Kaplan’s Instagram and decided if I ever have something done it would be him. I believe it takes a certain personality to be transparent on social media. Someone who isn’t afraid to show his personality and work together. Dr. Kaplan is able to connect and maintain professional boundaries. My consultation was March 2019. I wasn’t quite ready to commit to the recovery period. Then January 2021, I realized I was ready and committed to taking care of ME. After having 4 children, my body took a toll. No matter how much I tried , that fat wasn’t going anywhere! It was frustrating and depressing. I gave up and didn’t bother for the last couple of years. One day I was crying to my husband telling him how hard it is emotionally and physically. From that point on with my husband’s support and willingness to take time off work for the recovery , I scheduled my surgery January 29th for a tummy tuck and liposuction 360. It’s not only been a physical journey but definitely an emotional one too. Dr. Kaplan and his team are amazing . They walk you through the process and support you and your story. I will say it’s very important to have support after the surgery. Dr. Kaplan provides you his personal cell number and will respond right away but that’s where it’s important to understand the boundaries in a doctor/ patient relationship. He can’t be everything. Like I said , it’s an emotional journey as much as physically. Surround yourself around the people who know how much this means to you. They will remind you it’s worth it, YOU are worth it. I’m 3 weeks post op and feel better every day. I am so glad I decided to change how I felt about myself and to have my family , friends and a medical team from front desk to the OR getting me there.
