Dr. Kulick’s Philosophy

A healthy level of self-esteem is one of several factors which contribute to an emotionally satisfying life. Having pride in one’s physical appearance can affect this level of self-esteem.

Sometimes, individuals may have cosmetic physical problems that cause great personal concern. There may even be a disparity between their own self-image – how they see themselves, and their body image – how other people see them. A problem that is very troublesome to a person, may seem insignificant to a friend or loved one. When such a disparity in an individual’s image exists, it can often weaken that person’s self-esteem, and lead to associated frustration, anxiety or depression.

Corrective measures to bridge this gap between self-image and body image can take several forms, both surgical and non-surgical. Because cosmetic surgery is not a self-image panacea, Dr. Kulick conducts a preliminary consultation to assess an individual’s need and motivation for surgery. Numerous physical conditions can be significantly improved by cosmetic surgery. Even a relatively minor procedure can ease the anxiety associated with a physical condition. Once the patient and Dr. Kulick have a clear understanding of the desired change, the procedure can then be planned

Dr. Michael Kulick is a fantastic Doctor. Very knowledgeable. Cares and is careful with his patients health. He helped me with a badly smashed R Hand/Thumb joint injury and he has helped me with a trigger finger - which by the way, terrified me. Dr. Kulick knew exactly what to do and helped me understand that it's a common hand injury. He explained everything to me, steroid shots need very close attention and he does everything possible before doing surgery, which shows his true Physicians skill. (2 shots 6 mos apart and never came back, so no surgery & no trigger finger for a decade) Great office staff too. Love them. You are in safe hands with Dr. Kulick.

A few months ago I fell off my skateboard and broke 7 bones in my hands and wrists, along with an elbow and gnarly wrist bone dislocation. After the accident, I had quite some difficulty finding a hand specialist until I found Dr. Kulick. He took me on and formulated a treatment plan for my injury. My hand hurt A LOT less after the surgery for this injury. He was through in diagnosing what was wrong with my hands, in fact he found I had a previous injury (I think probably from snowboarding) that would've resulted in long term pain if not treated. If Dr. Kulick hadn't ordered the right diagnostics, I likely would've missed this injury until it entered a more advanced stage. Rehab is a big part of hand injuries. I've been working hard on this under the direction of Dr. Kulick and have seen great results. Although I'm still working on rehab, I can already use my hand to do most everything I could do before the injury and it continues to get better. Additionally there is no pain. Dr. Kulick is no non-sense and won't make promises he can't keep. I recommend him if you experience serious hand injury.

Dr Michael Kulick is a very knowledgeable Doctor. He completed 2 surgery on each of my hands, and I tell these were the most stressful moments of my life. Before the Surgery Dr Kulick explained very clearly the before and after process which made more confident going into surgery. Our fellow up appointment were very educational and Kara would followup with a reminder phone call the day before surgery and all followup appointments. Absolutely love that!!! Both my surgeries were a success and I'm extremely happy to have my hands back thank you Dr Kulick. 10 Stars!!!!

Dr. Kulick provided me with first class care and attention during my hand surgery, post op care, and follow up visits. He was meticulous in following my progress, even though my procedure was relatively simple. My hand is completely pain free now. With his guidance and encouragement about my hand exercises I was able to make the necessary progress on my own during shelter in place, without requiring outpatient therapy. This was a really good experience with a great outcome!

I'm a martial arts instructor and an avid motorcycle rider. I broke my wrist in November of 2013 in a motorcycle accident, and with advice from a nurse friend of mine, went to see several general doctors and surgeons. All of whom gave me incorrect diagnosis, until I asked my mother (who works in a hospital) to ask around for the best doctor in the bay. She asked around and the consensus from everyone she questioned was Dr. Kulick, and to no surprise. On first visit, he spotted the problem right away, gave me several options to treat it. We scheduled a surgery from which he handpicked his team and performed himself, and 3 months later I was back to doing everything I do normally with no problems at all. My body is my life, and without his expertise I couldn't be back doing what I love. Dr. Kulick is a warm individual, witty and very funny. He takes his time to address every question and concern I had to great detail. Very informative and supportive, and was happy to see me every time. If I ever had another accident, god forbid, I would definitely go see him first, every time. In my honest opinion, Dr. Kulick is a highly recommended top tier doctor, and first class gentleman.
