I chose Dr. Sidney Starkman to perform my rhinoplasty/septoplasty in February 2023, and I could not have asked for a better experience in both surgery results and in office hospitality. My history: my septum was significantly deviated, my turbinates enlarged and my nose off-center due to the deviation. Nasal inhalation during allergy season was extremely difficult, and my nasal passages always felt closed, impacting my quality of life. I couldn’t go more than 2 days without Claritin otherwise I would get a sinus infection due to the blockage and constant congestion. The bullet points: * I chose Dr. Starkman after 2 years of searching and was referred to him by another local (non-plastics) surgeon. * He truly cares about his patients, has an incredibly high standard of care, impeccable attention to detail, and is very personable. I never felt rushed or like “a number”. * His office is the most organized medical office I have ever experienced, even my pre and post surgery instructions were explained/written in detail and were easy to understand. * He builds a 1:1 relationship with his patients and spends extra time making sure you have the best surgical outcome for your procedure. My first experience with the efficiency and organization of Dr. Starkman’s office was their request to send pics of my face and my CT imaging so they could determine if I was an ideal candidate for his work. This made me SO happy as a patient, as our mutual time is valuable and if scheduled, I knew that our time was not wasted. My husband and daughter accompanied me to my initial consult, and I was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Starkman discussed my surgery with them, and took time to answer all of my daughter’s many questions. Mock-up images and pricing were given and I was genuinely encouraged to call with any questions. When I asked Dr. Starkman what is preferred time of operating was for scheduling (as most surgeons have a time of day they know they are their best) he told me that he only takes a few surgery cases per day (2 or 3) and only takes cases that he is confident he can do his best work. He is never stressed because he only does the work he’s passionate about and is not overloaded. His pricing for the procedure was straightforward and clear, unlike several other surgeons. My pre-op appt was the most organized doctor’s appt I’ve ever had! They had detailed instructions for what to do the days before and after surgery and a detailed spreadsheet for when to take all the different medications needed. Dr. Starkman called me personally the night before surgery to see he I was feeling about it. He confidently assured me that everything would go well, the surgery would go just as planned, I would heal nicely and have a wonderful outcome. The check-in for my procedure was easy and straightforward, and the staff at Desert Canyon Surgery Center (Dr. Starkman’s surgical suite next door) was caring and incredibly efficient. The day following the procedure I received a call from Dr. Starkman asking how I was doing, and I also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers for healing. Now at 5 months post-op, I’m happy to report that my surgery scars have healed nicely, the function of my septum and nasal passage is incredible and the aesthetic of my nose is exactly what I had hoped for. I highly recommend Dr. Starkman without reservation for facial plastic surgery procedures. I have referred many friends and clients to him and will continue to do so. Should I ever need another facial procedure, he will be my only consult and choice in surgeon.

Dr. Starkman is amazing! His attention to detail and high expectations are why I decided to have my surgery with him. When I walked into Starkman Facial Plastic Surgery, it became evident that he and his staff were much more than just a plastic surgery center. From my first telephone call with Elizabeth to the warm welcome from Dasha and EJ, I knew I had found a place that genuinely cared about its patients. Yet, it wasn't until surgery day that I discovered how fantastic his entire surgical team was. Knowing my anxiety was high, Whitney kept me informed of each step of the PreOp stage and illustrated reassurance when needed. But the individual I will forever hold in my heart is Lauren, my Post-Op nurse. You see, not everyone reacts the same when coming out of surgery, and my experience was a bit emotional for me. Lauren, of course, took care of my physical needs, but she also tended to my emotional needs. She listened with empathy and compassion, knowing all I needed at that time was someone to talk with. Dr. Starkman and amazing team from admin, Coordinator Erika, to the top tier nurses that are the best in the field, just blew me away! If I could give a 10 star, I would. The coordination from day 1 was precise, well thought out, and immaculately executed. I felt so taken care of and spoiled to be honest. I'm 6 weeks out from my deep plane neck lift/face lift, brow lift, upper bleph and Co2 treatment and I am obsessed already with my results. Take a look at Dr. Starkman's Instagram his work in pictures says it all! He's the best! I did a ton of research before I chose him, had multiple consults with other Drs and I knew I picked the best! As a business owner myself who strives to give people the best service I was beyond impressed with the level of service I received here. With all of the bad experiences with businesses people tend to have nowadays I was just blown away with the quality of service I received here throughout my entire experience. Going into my consultation I felt very welcome, they set expectations and I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Starkman personally, go through 3D imaging and my goals and even with Dr. Starkman and the entire staff I never felt pressured by their office to go with them and go through the surgery through them; they wanted to make sure they were the right fit and that I was completely comfortable and understanding of everything first. I live alone, and I never throughout the entire process felt like I was alone. They were consistent with checking in, I let them know I wanted to go over my imaging one more time before surgery and they scheduled a zoom with starkman right away to ensure everything was good beforehand. A couple of days before surgery I got a personal call from Dr. Starkman to personally check in on me, which I really appreciated. The day of surgery I watched Netflix in my own room for the couple of hours beforehand and when I asked after for some Tylenol they gave some to me to help with the headache I had. They consistently checked on me after surgery throughout the weeks and even sent me healing flowers, which were honestly so comforting to have around during my healing process. They even wished me a happy birthday yesterday! I know even sometimes I can be a tough customer to deal with because my level of expectations are so low anywhere I go now I tend to be a little demanding to avoid any BS and there was none, so I apologize ahead of time if I was difficult to deal with in any way 😅 Thank you so much Dr. Starkman and the office staff! It's so good to know there are still other businesses out there who value their clients as people and don't only treat them as just another number. Your integrity, quality of work and level of service is DEFINITELY noticed.

I cannot even begin to express how happy I am with my recent rhinoplasty! I've waited so long and I'm glad I did. It was worth the wait to get the BEST doctor ever. It was such an easy experience I can't believe I waited so long. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my results.
