For nearly 30 years, Dr. Eduardo Barroso has provided the highest quality of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery to his patients locally, nationally, and internationally. Dr. Barroso earned his Bachelor’s degree in the Arts and Sciences from the University of Miami in 1984, graduating with the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude. He obtained his Doctorate degree in Medicine at the University of Miami in 1988 and then completed a full five-year General Surgery training program at Rush Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago in 1993 earning his first board certification in General Surgery. While still in Chicago, he completed a three-year fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1996 and earned his second board certification in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Barroso is a member of a unique group of plastic surgeons who hold dual board certification in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Barroso has been featured locally, nationally, and internationally in radio programs, newspaper articles, magazine interviews, and television programs for his work in cosmetic surgery. His research with Endoscopic Browlifts has been presented in national meetings including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Barroso has an international following of patients throughout Europe, South and Central America, and the Caribbean. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Florida Society of Plastic Surgery, and Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Barroso was also the past president of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons and currently the Medical Director of South Miami Surgery Center.
