Profile

Meet Dr. Williams

Dr. Williams is an accomplished plastic surgeon, board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with an exceptional wealth of experience in free-flap breast reconstruction, having performed several hundred deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap breast reconstruction procedures as well as less common free flap techniques.

Dr. Williams’s performance as a caregiver, an exceptional technician, and a leader have always stood out.  She has been honored to serve as President of the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons, representing plastic surgeons in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Hawaii, British Columbia and Alberta.  Preceding this, she served as the President of the Washington Society of Plastic Surgeon and has participated in numerous facets of hospital leadership at Providence Sacred Heart for over a decade.  Preceding her move to Spokane, during her training, Dr. Williams won numerous awards, including recognition by Harborview Medical Center for her “exemplary skill, compassion and care for children,” the only surgery resident to ever have been so honored.

EDUCATION

Dr. Williams is a native of the Northwest, earning her Bachelor of Science from Willamette University in Salem, OR while competing as a four-year varsity athlete on the Cross Country and Track teams.  Though the training path of a plastic surgeon often requires moving to multiple parts of the country for training, Dr. Williams was honored when the prestigious University of Washington Plastic Surgery Residency asked her to remain in Seattle after she earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Dr. Williams is happy to give back as a mentor for those who are interested in medicine, as well as in her capacity as a clinical educator of medical students in Spokane.

UPDATE: I emailed Audrey back as requested over a month ago and never received a response. I’ve waited nearly 2 years (August of 2023) before writing a review, just to make sure I gave myself plenty of time to heal and swelling to subside. I am extremely, extremely unhappy with the results of my rhinoplasty. My results at 6 weeks looked fantastic, as far as the shape, however I was still upset that I was left with a scar on the bridge of my nose, which wasn’t there before and I was hoping it would fade with time. Now almost 2 years later, the scar is still there, and my nose seems to have reverted back to the original shape. There is no definition, it looks NOTHING like my six week photos, and nothing like what I had envisioned or talked to Dr. Wheeler about at my consultation. Every issue I had to begin with (large tip, no shape) is present again now. At the three month mark, my nose seemed to be going “backwards”, and the shape seemed to be less defined/more swollen than at the 6 week mark. I was also experiencing a constant runny/stuffy nose. So, I contacted the office, showed them photos and shared my concern. The nurse or whomever I messaged with said it did look concerning and that I should expect the swelling to decrease and the results to continue improving as time went on, she suggested I come in to see Dr. Wheeler. At this follow up appointment with Dr. Wheeler, he said he was happy with my results and proud of his work. I felt like my concerns were minimized, and I was told to just “give it time”. I could take Flonase or Afrin for potential congestion. It was basically implied that I was wasting their time to even have come in. Two years later and it looks even worse than it did at the three-four month mark. I’ve grown increasingly unhappy with the appearance. Comparing photos from pre-op to now, there is almost no difference, unless you’re counting the scar I didn’t have before. At my initial cast removal, I was given no follow up care instructions, and I to ask what I needed to do. I don’t know if it was the surgery techniques, or the lack of any follow-up care that left me with poor results, but I was told nose taping wasn’t necessary, (I asked when he didn’t bring it up, because I assumed it was a part of all rhinoplasty recovery) and when I brought up my concerns at a subsequent appointment the only solution was Flonase or Afrin. I don’t know if steroid shots were needed, if it’s scar tissue build up or what exactly went so terribly wrong but at this point I’m 12k out to have the same nose shape I had before. This was something I had wanted for over 15 years, and it’s been an extremely disappointing experience.

XX mastectomy and reconstructive surgeries by Fletcher and Molene(oncologist) wasn’t perfect but everything was taken care of. The treatment I received including education, questions answered, pre and post surgery care was amazing. I felt that Dr Fletcher really cared, took as much time as we needed for each appointment. I’ll be going back in November to complete the next step on reconstruction. I’m confident that this will be smooth and forming a natural looking breast. Thank you for your work!!

Dr. Janelle Sousa was amazing. She is thorough and knows what she’s doing. I am extremely happy with my reconstructive surgery. I would recommend Dr Sousa to anyone looking for a plastic surgeon.

THE BEST. From the moment I called to inquire to my post op appointments, I truly felt so cared for. It’s apparent through every single interaction with Plastic Surgery NW that they run an impeccable operation, dedicated to setting the standard. I want to speak on my experience specifically with Dr. Chad Wheeler- I received a deep plane neck lift, chin implant, and buccal fat pad removal, my results have truly CHANGED my life. I joke with my fiancé that there’s going to be a marked financial return on the cost of my surgery from how much my confidence and excitement for business/ life has gone up! Most importantly though, I had wanted this procedure for YEARS so i had watched nearly every video regarding the procedure & how to find the right surgeon for you, I was extremely cautious picking my surgeon because I had heard of so many women across the world getting horrible results that ruined their lives. I can say without a doubt in my mind- Dr. Wheeler is the BEST of the BEST, he’s not going to talk you into things you don’t need or try to smooze/ people please you. He’s direct and honest and set very realistic expectations for what certain procedures can help or not help with. He’s very honest and open to any concerns, I even brought up one of the bad reviews I read on here and he walked me through what happened, listened to my concerns and made me feel so at peace going into my surgery. He’s professional, relatable and extremely skilled. You can also just tell that he truly loves what he does and I think there’s something to be said for that. On to the staff, Danika, Michele, Hailey, are all amazing women that I couldn’t be more thankful to have been cared for by. I had complications from a wisdom tooth removal surgery leading up to my neck lift and Danika and Michele were checking up on me everyday leading up to my neck lift to make sure I felt comfortable going into my surgery. The day of surgery I felt like royalty and so extremely cared for. Clearly, I could keep going. Bottom line, if you’re reading these reviews you’re probably anxious or worried about making the right choice & I can assure you, you’ve found an incredible place that is worth every single penny! Thank you Plastic Surgery North West, you have truly changed my life!!!

I just want to say how much I love Plastic surgery Northwest and their doctors nurses everybody I had breast cancer and in the lymph nodes and radiation on the left side and even though radiation has left my muscles hard to move on the left my chest and my stomach from the deep flap surgery is amazing It’s gave me my life back. I’m hoping to keep improving the quality of life. I have a couple more surgeries to look forward to and then maybe I’ll get back out there, but I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart. What a great job and you guys took such good care of me. God has a hand over you guys. Amen.
