I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Julie Vasile. I’m a 46 year old woman , diagnosed with Invasive lobular and ductal carcinoma . I was first diagnosed in 2020 and had a lumpectomy and several rounds of radiation. I had a reoccurrence in 2024 and the cancer came back viciously. My breast surgeon, Dr. Barbara Ward immediately recommended Julie . When I first met Julie, she spent a good 3 hours with my mother and I. She spent time getting to know is, my case and explaining in so much detail the DIEP flap procedure, recovery process. That was so impressive . Before surgery, Julie had me go for a ton of bloodwork, a scan of my blood vessels and even a psychological exam because this kind of surgery can take a toll. She is not only an extremely careful surgeon , she is the best. I had zero complications after my Diep flap surgery. Zero. She’s the best and I would recommend her to anyone going through this process and trying to make a decision . Zero complications. Also, my father was Chief of Anesthesiology at Stamford Hospital for many years. Julie Vasile was highly recommended ( and respected) among his peers . We wouldn’t have settled for anyone but the best.

Dr. Vasile is absolutely amazing! She is best surgeon and doctor!! She is not only incredible skilled, compassionate and informative, but also upfront about cost and time commitment. Upon meeting her she really took the time to hear my concerns. She is someone who really cares about her patients. I am a breast cancer survivor, and my implants were hurting and had become very toxic. She not only removed my implants and performed the flap procedure, but corrected and cleaned up the mess left behind by my previous surgeon. I have felt so much better since, and I owe this to her. I feel like me again! I can not recommend her enough. I have felt beyond grateful that I found her, and that she has given me my life back.

Had double mastectomy. Dr. Vasile was there every step; from the long surgery of reconstruction (DIEP Flap), to hospital visits on her day off, to final tattooing. She not only does perfect work, but has great kindness, understanding, patience, and knowledge. She goes above and beyond. Her reconstruction work was fabulous. I see many doctors and nurses for after cancer treatment, and they praise her work as well. Couldn't recommend a better doctor. Her staff is wonderful, welcoming, and like the doctor, know their stuff. Couldn't have found a better doctor!

Her knowledge, skill, kindness and compassion have brought me through a very difficult time. Dr. Vasile is not only a skilled medical professional, but an individual who genuinely cares for the well-being of her patients. She has a gentle, calm, friendly demeanor that immediately put me at ease during what was a difficult and stressful time. She performed a DIEP flap bilateral breast reconstruction following a double mastectomy. Prior to each stage of the reconstruction, Dr. Vasile kept me fully informed of what each process would entail; making sure I was aware of my options and what results to expect during the recovery and final result. She even went beyond the call of duty to make sure I received as much detailed information about my post operative pathology report as possible. During my hospital stay and my post op visits with her, she not only checked the progress of my physical recovery but also took the time to ask how I was managing personally. Hospital staff, upon finding out who my doctor was, had nothing but nice things to say about Dr. Vasile. With her care, I was able to recover quickly and without issues. The reconstruction Dr. Vasile performed looks and feels both natural and beautiful. I could not be happier with my results and I could not have asked for a better doctor. She not only took care of me, but she kept my family informed of my progress during each surgery and answered their questions during my office visits (that meant so much to me to have a doctor that took the time to reassure my family during what was a stressful time for them too). Dr. Vasile is compassionate, has a wonderful bedside manner, is a doctor who listens to her patients concerns and makes sure they are as informed as possible about their treatment. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
