Dr. Joseph Castellano is a native Floridian where he grew up in the Tampa Bay area. After attending Jesuit High School, he attended the University of Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 2000, graduating with honors.
He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Florida in 2005. During medical school he received clinical honors In Surgery, and received the Watson Clinic Award for best research by a medical student.
From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Joseph Castellano completed his first two years of General Surgery residency at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. From 2007-2010, he completed his residency training in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.

Jun 4, 2023I went to Castellano Cosmetic Surgery Center for a breast augmentation. I was incredibly nervous and super awkward. The entire team was extremely polite and supportive throughout my experience from beginning to end. I ended up feeling comfortable and confident with this incredible team. I have to say I was so impressed at how amazing the staff and Doctors were. Everyone made sure I felt comfortable and heard the entire time! They answered all my questions and helped guide me to achieve the results I wanted. I am 100% happy with how my surgery went and my results could not have been better! I recommend this facility to all of my friends and will continue to do so!

May 4, 2023Highly recommend Dr. Castellano for BA! Super bedside manner and his office staff are great, not to mention Pam, is an absolute Rockstar! She truly takes her time and listens to exactly what you want and Dr. Castellano delivers 100%. My plan was to get several consults but after meeting Dr. C & Pam, my husband and I felt so comfortable and knew this was the right place, we immediately scheduled. Make the appointment, you wont regret it!

May 3, 2023I was excited to consult with Dr. Castellano because he came highly recommended by my other doctors as "the best" in his field. Since losing over 100 pounds 9 years ago through Mini Gastric Bypass surgery (life-changing), I had saved up to have a breast reduction and to lift the sagging skin all over that resulted. However, the long-awaited consultation with Dr. C. was completely rushed and impersonal. He spent about 10 minutes, quickly ran down the surgical procedure in technical terms I didn't understand, seemed bothered by any questions, and showed no interest in my case. I went on my way, completely disheartened and deflated. Maybe Dr. Castellano was just busy that day (we all have bad days), but I knew I could not trust my body in his hands under the circumstances. Clearly others have had great experiences, and this is just one situation. Fortunately, I've found another highly reputable surgeon who cared about earning my trust.

May 2, 2023Great practice and friendly staff. The results of my surgery were better than expected. The day of surgery everyone was helpful even the anesthesiologist was great! The post surgery experience a little bit different. It was hard to get answers or return calls post surgery from the staff. They may have been simple concerns about the healing process but important to me. Other than that would certainly recommend Dr. Castellano.
