Andrew K. Gavagan, MD, is a board-certified plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Gavagan completed his fellowship and earned his plastic and reconstruction degree from the University of Chicago in 1998. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University and completed a general surgery residency at St John Hospital Detroit. Dr Gavagan’s undergraduate studies were achieved at Purdue University with a distinguished degree in Engineering.

Dr Gavagan is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and National Board of Medical Examiners. In addition to board certification and ASPS membership, Dr. Gavagan is director of wound care services at multiple Select Specialty hospitals.

Cosmetic procedures performed by Dr Gavagan include but not limited to breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, tummy tuck, liposuction, eyelid (blepharoplasty) surgery, facelift, and rhinoplasty. Dr Gavagan also performs reconstructive surgery including sternal wounds, breast, and abdominal wall repair, among other reconstructive procedures.

Dr. Gavagan provides a comprehensive range of procedures at multiple metro Detroit area hospitals and wound care centers including McLaren Macomb, McLaren Port Huron, St John Main Detroit, St John Surgical Center in St Clair Shores, Beaumont Royal Oak, Beaumont Wayne, and Ascension Providence Rochester. Dr. Gavagan’s practice includes both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and he accepts most insurance policies. He sees patients at his Troy office weekly on Monday and Friday morning.
