During his otolaryngology, head and neck surgery residency he was trained extensively in nasal surgery and reconstructive facial plastic surgery lending to his skillfulness in performing facial cosmetic surgical procedures. For several years prior to his cosmetic surgery fellowship, He was a practicing otolaryngology/head and neck surgeon. He is fellowship trained in full body and facial cosmetic surgery. Under the tutelage of renowned cosmetic surgical expert, Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, he developed a love for and proficiency in performing the range of body contouring procedures, breast surgery and facial rejuvenation. His demeanor, surgical acumen, and devotion to excellent patient care afforded him the invitation to join Tulsa Surgical Arts after completing his fellowship.

Personal

When out of the office, Dr. Nelson loves the outdoors, watersports, and physical fitness. He and his wife are the proud parents of 3 children.
