While Dr. Fred Wilder is accomplished in all aspects of plastic surgery, he prides himself on the honesty and respect with which he works with each individual. His goal is to treat every patient with the level of care he would deliver to a member of his own family.

Dr. Wilder is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and American Board of Surgery. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. Recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America,” Dr. Wilder began his practice in Austin, TX in 1986, and has been active in both the medical and civic community ever since. He has received recognition as a Texas “Super Doctor” annually since 2004 and was listed among Austin Monthly’s “Best Plastic Surgeons.” Dr. Wilder also performs cosmetic surgeries for the face, skin, abdomen, breasts, and body.

After completing a 5-year general surgery residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, TX, he was named Chief Resident in his final year. Then, he was accepted as one of only two residents per year at the prestigious Cronin, Brauer, & Biggs Clinic at St. Joseph Hospital, which boasts pioneers in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including the inventor of the modern-day breast implant.
