Jul 21, 2023Had an abdominoplasty/tummy tuck with Dr. Robbins in early 2021 after 110 lbs of weight loss over a 10 year period. Two years later I am writing a review to thank him and his staff for the life-changing results of the surgery and the high quality of my experience.
Dr. Robbins is exactly what you want in a SURGEON--deeply serious and exacting, professional, focused and committed to achieving the best results. I was a smoker when I had my consultation, and he was quite firm about the requirement I be nicotine-free for at least six weeks prior to the surgery date. It was then I knew I was in trustworthy hands--this man did not want my business unless I was totally committed to making the changes I'd need to to have a successful surgery and easy recovery. I quit smoking by the deadline he gave me and had a successful procedure. I felt comfortable disclosing my medical history to my anesthesiologist, who I spoke to briefly before the procedure. The surgical team were friendly and upbeat, sharing their positive energy with me as I went under.
I recovered at home, receiving check-up calls from his office. After 10 days my drainage tubes were removed and I resumed a light routine and then soon my regular activities. I felt supported and informed by his office and his staff before, during and after my procedure. I no longer live in Iowa but I remain committed to traveling back for any further body-shaping procedures I may undertake as part of my recovery from obesity. I'd also like to specifically thank Misty at the front desk for her warm manner and attention to detail in scheduling. I can fully recommend Dr. Robbins and his team to anyone seeking an abdominoplasty.

Jul 3, 2023First time surgery. Got a tummy tuck and a breast reduction. The whole team made me feel comfortable and safe. Which I appreciate alot, not one time I felt scared or nervous. I love my results and it's crazy awesome when they give you the before and after pictures. Once I saw the pictures, I was happy I made this decision.

Jun 6, 2023I recently had a breast lift and tummy tuck. I can not express how thrilled I am with the results! I feel like a new person. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner!!!! I am very very happy with my look!!!!
Everyone that works at DesMoines Plastic Surgery are highly professional and very personable. You feel at ease from your first visit to your last. Misty at the front desk is wonderful! Stacy was the nurse I saw the most and she is just super nice and knowledgeable!
Dr. Robbins is is very easy to talk to and he is a VERY good communicator of what to expect from your procedures. He also is very forthcoming about what services will be best for you. I immediately trusted him. He's a Plastic Surgeon that wants your post surgery result to be everything you hoped for or he won't do it.
