Nov 19, 2024My wife had breast reconstruction performed by Pollack, due to a lumpectomy she had done earlier. After consultation, Pollack determined that he would not go in near her nipple, due to his concern about potential nerve damage since the nipple had been entered surgically twice previously. We agreed and yet, after her reconstruction, we saw that he went in through the nipple anyway! She now has no feeling in her nipple area. He also assured us he would balance her breast to the other breast and yet, he ended up with what appears to be one size smaller with implants? Upon his discovery of his mistake, he recommended liposuction of fat from her stomach area and put it in the breast, “hoping 70-80%” of the fat would remain? It’s been four months since the liposuction surgery and all the fat has left the area and appears to have migrated to her shoulder muscle, where it is causing discomfort. Pollack did a terrible job and would never go back to him, nor would we recommend him. The guy should retire.
