I came in to see Lisa F. about trying to heal years of damage I had done to my face with compulsive skin picking that was exacerbated by mild acne and stress. From the first session, Lisa listened to my specific issues and goals for my skin and we formulated a plan based off of my unique triggers in order to stop the root of the issue, not just to fix the consequences after the fact. Initially, some of the steps we tried to implement weren’t very effective, but my favorite part is that Lisa processed my feedback during our second session and worked with me to come up with another set of steps to try. And….it has been the best thing anyone has done to help improve my quality of life!!
My skin has gotten exponentially better, but so has my avoidance and control over urges. I do not waste my precious family time at night in front of the mirror, or wake up an hour earlier than necessary to make sure I put on a full face of makeup everyday (and I don’t have to make sure I have concealer with me at all times to reapply, which feels amazing).
I was able to go to the beach with friends and actually put my head under water, with the freedom of not having to make sure that no one could see my face because of open spots or scabs. Everything has healed so nicely and Lisa has been a major part of finding my “secret sauce”. This has meant implementing trigger avoiding and relaxation strategies, a healing and brightening skin care routine, and microneedling sessions.
When I say that my experience with Lisa has been life changing so far, I am not exaggerating!
