Nov 22, 2024This place is not wheelchair accessible. I called beforehand to see if was, and if they had a table that could lower so I could transfer. They said yes. I get there waited over an hour, then called me into a narrow hallway where I had people literally climbing over me to get past. The first room they put me in was filled with chairs, I couldn’t move my wheelchair at all. The second room they put me in had an extremely high table that my able bodied mother would even struggle to get on. They expected me to get on that knowing I couldn’t. They then took me to the back room where it looked like a storage room where they had a bed close to the ground. I couldn’t get my chair in, and couldn’t even shut the door to get my dressing gown on. Not to mention they were trying to make me put it on and go across the hallway while people were passing by, and I said no. This experience was extremely degrading and embarrassing. I do not recommend this place to elderly or those with disabilities. Stay far away.
Side note they stated they tried helping me transfer, they didn’t at all. They offered to help me on the extremely tall bed, but that was completely dangerous especially since I have a full spinal fusion and since the beginning they knew I couldn’t use it in the first place. So that’s a complete lie about them helping me on the lower bed, they only just stared at me and waited. We also didn’t storm out, I was on the verge of tears from the embarrassment and needed to leave. Their so called procedure room where the bed was, was so small my wheelchair couldn’t fit, I was half in the room and half in the hallway. The door wasn’t even able to close.
