Breast Lift in West Hollywood, California

Your skin loses elasticity as you get older, and this includes your breast area. Over time, poor skin elasticity and gravity cause your breasts to sag and lose shape and firmness. Weight gain and pregnancy also cause sagging by stretching the skin.

Breast lift surgery, also known as mastopexy, lifts the breasts to restore a firm and perky profile. Excess skin is removed to tighten the tissue around the breasts. If you are unhappy with how low your breasts hang or want firmer breasts, breast lift surgery may be right for you.

What is a Breast Lift?

Breast lift surgery is a popular option for women in West Hollywood, CA who want to regain a firm, perky breast profile. The surgery creates a youthful, more feminine appearance to the breasts.

A breast lift removes the excess stretched skin to reshape the breast tissue. The procedure may also help if your areola or nipple point downward. If necessary, large areolae can be reduced during the surgery to restore the natural-looking proportions of the breast.

I have always heard of the “Hippocratic Oath” which is one of the oldest binding documents in history… the oath written by Hippocrates is still held sacred by physicians: to treat the ill to the best of one’s ability, to preserve a patient’s privacy to teach the secrets of medicine to next generation. And so on.
A modern version of the “Hippocratic Oath” includes the following… quote: “I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow. Excerpts from the document include the following: “I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required…”, “I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy and understanding may outweigh the surgeon’s knife or chemist’s drug….”, “I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth but a sick human being…”
These words could not have been a better representation of Dr. Christine Prendergast and her assistants. From my very first interaction with her after receiving the gut-wrenching diagnosis of Breast Cancer, Dr. Prendergast’s bedside manners was impeccable, caring and compassionate.
This behavior was the same throughout my entire treatment where she spent lots of time painstakingly answering my questions, explaining all details, patient - she was never in a haste and with very evident passion for her job and profession.
At no time was there the discussion of time spent or cost especially given my emotional state and the many questions I ALWAYS had, explanation of the complicated surgeries and just needing to be convinced that everything would eventually turn out well.
Dr. Prendergast welcomes Cancer patients with open arms, is very genuine in her actions and a significant credit to the medical profession, along with her team, I could not have asked for and/or received any better treatment during my battle and victory with Cancer.
For this I will ALWAYS be indebted to and grateful to Dr. Prendergast and her professional team.

With much appreciation,

Dr. Christie Prendergast is very professional and compassionate person to work with. When someone in your family was undergoing breast cancer this new will hit you like a locomotive head-on. It was devastating and emotionally shocked. As a physician who had extensive training and certified in cosmetic reconstructive surgery who had performed hundreds if not thousands of these operations to patients. My spouse was one of them and she was under good care with Christie at BreastLink Center in Orange, Ca. Prior to surgery and proposed treatment, Christie consulted and coordinated with Dr. Dang as the oncologist physician who specializes in cancer treatment and surgery. The operation went well and successful. Once the cancer tumor was removed the most difficult job is the reconstruction phase. Christie was with us consulting and providing recommendations for follow up reconstructive surgery. She’s a very caring and has great compassion for her patients who are undergoing cancer treatments. She helped many women who regained self-esteem and regained their self confidence post surgery. My spouse and I have tremendous respect for her as a physician and long lasting family friend who is down to earth and approachable. She will take time to care and talk about any concerns which you have. Thank you God for His abundant blessings and one of these is Dr. Christie Prendergast. She is truly one of God’s miraculous creations: whom she was born with a life purpose is to serve others as a physician.
